Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive and composed manner. Excellent time management skills and strong critical thinking skills. Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. The position involves practicing in a clinical environment supported by a shared governance model. The RN is expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act. They will implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards. As a member of the patient services team, the RN will uphold the voice of the patient and support service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Performs the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care. Uses evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking to ensure individualized care. Provides relationship-based patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics. Partners with patients and significant others in a supportive and communicative manner. Practices according to current clinical practice standards. Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care. Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration to promote the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. Participates in performance improvement and supports shared governance at all levels. Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education. Serves as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and staff. Promotes evidence-based practice and nursing research. Upholds all organizational policies and procedures and clinical competencies. Collects data and poses relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice. Proactively plans for continuity of patient care while giving direct patient care. Participates in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. Supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
