Job Title: Inventory Support Associate (1st Shift, Temporary with Contract-to-Hire Potential) Job Description

This role supports a manufacturing facility in eastern Indianapolis by performing hands-on inventory activities, including manual counting, weighing, and auditing of parts and hardware. The position is a temporary assignment through September with the potential to transition into other roles within the facility on a contract-to-hire basis, depending on performance and business needs.

• Manually count parts, hardware, and related materials to support accurate inventory records.
• Physically handle items and use scales to record weights and verify quantities.
• Assist with inventory audits by comparing physical counts to system records and identifying discrepancies.
• Perform cycle counts on a regular basis to maintain accurate inventory control.
• Use scanning equipment or tools, as needed, to track and document inventory movements.
• Support general labor tasks associated with inventory, such as organizing, staging, and moving materials within the production area.
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines while working in a production and inventory environment.
• Communicate count results and any issues or variances to the appropriate team members or supervisors.

• Experience performing general labor tasks in a production or warehouse environment.
• Ability to manually count parts, components, and hardware with a high level of accuracy.
• Skill in using scales to weigh items and record measurements correctly.
• Basic understanding of inventory and inventory control processes.
• Experience supporting cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Ability to use basic scanning tools or equipment to track inventory.
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills for counting and inspection tasks.
• Capability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, and handling materials for extended periods.

• Previous experience in inventory, parts counting, or production support is beneficial.
• Familiarity with inventory control practices, including cycle counting and scanning, is a plus.
• Experience performing inspection tasks to verify counts and product condition is advantageous.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing or production environment with general labor responsibilities.
• Willingness to work a temporary assignment with the potential to move into other roles on a contract-to-hire basis.

Although the role is temporary through September, strong performance can open the door to contract-to-hire opportunities in other positions within the facility, providing a pathway for long-term growth. This position is based in a manufacturing facility in eastern Indianapolis on a 1st shift schedule, working from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays as needed. The role is hands-on and physically active, involving regular standing, walking, and handling of parts and hardware in a production and inventory setting. You will work around typical manufacturing equipment and inventory storage areas while following established safety procedures and guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
