For more information, please visit **ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY** Role Profile Position: Production TechnicianJob Location: Pittsburgh, PAJob Type: Full-Time Status: Non-Exempt **Summary of the Role**This position is responsible for a variety of tasks that are manufacturing or distribution based and may include prepping items for welding, post-weld processing, assembling and manufacturing sales orders, picking products from the warehouse, shipping, and receiving.**Responsibilities*** Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures* Prep items for welding and complete post-weld processing* Assembles products to company, customer and manufacturer’s standards* Performs all product testing to quality standards as required by the customer and per company work instruction* Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online system and places items in warehouse* Picks product in warehouse and prepares items for delivery or shipping* Operates mechanical equipment, hand tools, forklifts and picking lifts (if applicable)* Assists with physical inventory* Makes recommendations to management with respect to product and process improvements* Perform other duties as trained and qualified for**Skills and Abilities*** Applicants should possess the ability to interact with team members in a professional manner* Must have good communication skills* Requires basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure* Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools* Basic computer skills preferred, including email and internet**Minimum Qualifications*** Must be 18 years of age or older* 1-3 years of related warehousing or production experience* A high school diploma or GED* Reliable transportation is a must* Ability to safely drive a Company truck or other mechanical equipment* Ability to work nights and weekends, as required* Ability to work overtime, as required* Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)**Preferred Qualifications*** Industrial setting experience **Physical Requirements and Work Environment**This position is based in a production and warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to a range of environmental conditions. These include fluctuating temperatures (both hot and cold), varying noise levels, exposure to dust, and other typical elements of an active industrial environment.
