Registered Nurse - MS/Tele-ER Border - Nights

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour night shifts (19:30 - 08:00), with every other weekend and holiday coverage required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a night position in the MS/Tele-ER Border unit. This fast-paced role involves providing high-quality patient care in a setting where complex ED admission diagnoses are managed. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling a wide variety of patient diagnoses and will engage in both MS/T and IMC patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of diagnoses in a high-volume setting.
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients, ensuring appropriate interventions.
• Float between the ED border, extenders to MS/T, and IMC units as needed, adhering to scope of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation utilizing the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and CPI is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, particularly in an ER or telemetry setting.
• Experience with high patient ratios (1:6) and familiarity with Epic charting system preferred.
• Travel experience is required.
