The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical program manager to lead prototype engagements, from discovery through the deployment of a commercially ready process used for new technology deployments within AWS data centers globally. You will also lead programs with partner teams in defining prototype deployment trials, strategic planning and development, documenting the operational plans for production deployment and support partner teams in the integration of new hardware technologies into the AWS Network. You will interface with Networking leadership and Infra leadership, to define requirements and establish timelines for deployment. You will need to be proactive in communicating the project plans and milestone accomplishments and ensure alignment with our internal customers with regards to execution of the new deployment plans, management of defects, and rapid delivery of new technology deployment in an agile environment. Key job responsibilities Write effective project charters based on business requirements for medium to large scale projects. Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management, design engineers, operational deployment teams) to define requirements and processes. Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate trade-offs if needed. Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis. End to end responsibility for the program’s execution and success. Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously. Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions. Keep the customer experience as the primary focus. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
