Located in Mt Vernon, IN Pay: $20-$25/hr+ Job Full Description Welder/Fitter Shift: 1st Location: Mt. Vernon, IN Pay: $20-$25/hr+ Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required; welding apprenticeship or formal training preferred
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in welding and fitting (structural steel, pipe, or fabrication environments preferred)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols
- Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding processes and applications
- Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, squares, tape measures) with precision
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various positions and environments
- Must pass a welding test; certifications may be required
- Perform welding, fabrication, and repair of metal components using various welding techniques
- Operate welding equipment and fabrication tools including grinders, torches, and plasma cutters
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout, materials, and welding methods
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all safety protocols
