Certified Nurse MidwifeJericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife. The option of a flexible 40-hour workweek is possible within certain teams.Responsibilities:Diagnose and treat conditions that affect women during and after pregnancyWork with pregnant women to explain the childbirth processProvide maternity care services in the hospital settingImprove patient outcomes, and deliver quality care within practice areas as assigned.Participate in obstetrical call pool with other Jericho Road cliniciansFollow up with patients regarding lab results or other medical care concernsOffer patient and family centered care in a consistent cost effective mannerProvide patient care in a holistic manner including attention to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healthEnsure all clinical care is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical outcomes, quality assurance standards, state/local regulations, and patient satisfaction.Maintain electronic medical records efficiently and maximize resourcesCreate a learning plan that includes familiarity with new research and changes to standard of practiceParticipate in risk management activities as required for FTCA malpractice coverageMaintain current certifications including all mandatory annual and CPR trainingAbility to adhere to professional code of ethics, and compliance to Article 28 and FQHC requirementsCollaborate with interdisciplinary clinical and program teams at Jericho Road Community Health CenterEnsure all actions, personal conduct, and communications always represent the organization in a highly professional manner.Uphold and ensure compliance to all policies/procedures, mission, and organizational values in a highly professional manner always.Qualifications:Certified nurse midwife (CNM)RN, Masters or Nurse Doctorate (ND) Certification by American Nurses Credentialing Counsel (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, or equivalent certifying bodyDemonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationshipsExcellent patient-centered skills and clinical capabilitiesRate: $52.00-58.00 an hour.
