Description: The position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse working a day shift. Candidates should have at least one year of emergency room experience. First-time travelers are welcome. Ratios in the department are 1:5 with mixed acuity levels. Candidates may need to float as required by patient census. Every other weekend availability is required. The role involves the administration of medications, including blood products and IV vasopressors. Phlebotomy and starting IVs are essential skills for this role. Epic charting experience is preferred. The unit serves a broad patient demographic, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census averages 64 patients with approximately 145 visits per day. The team collaborates with various interdisciplinary support services. RNs should be prepared to manage complex cases involving multiple organ dysfunction or failure. Isolation precautions and safety protocols are mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to obtain 12 lead EKG/ECGs and manage procedural sedation. This position offers an opportunity to engage in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
