Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active RN license in the state of Ohio Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: ACLS/PALS may be required based on clinic needs Knowledge of nursing process and practice Description: Provides safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process. Assists patients in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery resulting in safe practice and positive patient outcomes. Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively to optimize patient care and clinical outcomes. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Uses a variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies. Encountering Protected Health Information (PHI) is part of regular responsibilities. The unit accommodates both adult and pediatric patients, serving a wide age range. The facility is a designated Level 3 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center.
