Temple Health - Chestnut Hill Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join our Senior Behavioral Health Unit, a 20-bed inpatient program dedicated to the compassionate, high-quality care of older adults with acute psychiatric needs. This is a faculty role within the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offering the opportunity to combine meaningful inpatient clinical work with academic engagement, while practicing in a supportive community hospital environment.


The SBHU provides short-term inpatient stabilization for older adults experiencing conditions such as depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our interdisciplinary team emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, education, and thoughtful discharge planning to support long-term recovery and continuity of care.


Located in the picturesque Chestnut Hill neighborhood, this role offers the rare blend of mission-driven care, academic access, and lifestyle balance, supported by the clinical, educational, and research resources of Temple University Health System.

Candidate Qualifications
MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred
Eligibility for unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA prior to start
