We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Ideal candidates are analytical problem solvers. They have experience involving the use of large equipment such as skid-loaders, trenchers and backhoes for construction projects and loading material for general course maintenance. They can operate tractors, fairway and rough mowers and aerifiers, and boom sprayers and spreaders for fertilizing fairways and roughs. For more information on our open opportunities, apply today!ResponsibilitiesOperates all equipment that is used in daily course maintenanceMows greens, tees, and aprons, and approach areas not accessible with gang mowersOperates sod cutter, spray rigs and may assist in the fertilization of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and related areasMows fairways and rough areas and operates other equipment as directedMaintains gasoline or diesel, oil and other equipment fluid levels dailyReports equipment problems and failures to mechanic immediatelyInstalls detailed irrigation and drainage systems as directed, understanding the principles and procedures of installationAbility to use and understand the operation of a transit, level or other device used to construct proper grades and/or layoutUses loaders to remove dirt, debris and other materials and refuseReturns equipment properly cleaned and serviced to designated location at the maintenance facility as directed by the Assistant SuperintendentOversees other maintenance associates while performing duties that include operation of equipmentEnsures safety of the associate and proper operation of equipmentOperates equipment safely and is aware of other associates in the work areaIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendancePerforms other duties as requiredEducation and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceValid Driver's LicenseAbility to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English)Working ConditionsFrequently uses handsRegularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawlFrequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; pushes or pulls up to 100 poundsRegularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, compact spaces, hot attic temperatures, and outside weather conditionsNoise level is moderateAbout TroonFounded in 1990 and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Troon is the world's largest professional club management company that specializes in services in golf, hospitality, and residential communities.
