Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year required; strong general, ortho (total joints), vascular, and gyn experience preferred. License: VA state license required. Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, NCCT, or military OR Tech Certification accepted. Must-Have: Must be able to work 1 holiday per 13-week assignment. Must be able to float within skillset.Description: Position available for an OR Tech. Schedule consists of 3 shifts of 12 hours each from 7 AM to 7 PM. Call rotation with staff is required, including 4-5 calls on weekdays per 6 weeks and possibly one weekend call. Weekend rotations are necessary. ALL requests for time off must be included during the application submission. The facility can call off 1 shift every 2 weeks. One holiday must be worked during the 13-week contract term. First-time travelers are accepted, but no local candidates will be considered. Clinical skills required include strong experience in general, ortho (total joints), vascular, and gyn procedures. Travelers who hold an out-of-state license are required to obtain the state license. Medical and religious exemptions only for COVID-19 and flu vaccines are permitted. Candidates must be committed to the start date provided in their application.
