Wastewater Field Engineer

job summary:
Our client is seeking a hands-on Field Engineer in the Chesepeke bay area , for a 6-12 month contract starting at 24 hours/week then moving up to 40 hours per week with potential for permanent conversion. You will oversee pilot-scale wastewater treatment systems, driving technical operations and community impact. Requires an engineering degree, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and field mobility.

responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations, routine inspections, monitoring, and performance optimization for pilot-scale decentralized wastewater treatment systems.

• Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues, execute repairs, and collaborate with innovation teams to enhance system reliability.

• Collect water samples, execute laboratory testing protocols, and maintain accurate field data analysis.

• Engage local stakeholders, assist with site selection, and support startup, installation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
