Position Summary

The Vice President of IT Administration & Information Technology is a senior executive responsible for leading the company’s enterprise IT strategy, infrastructure, systems, and technology operations across a complex, multi-site food distribution network. This role ensures technology capabilities enable operational excellence, scalable growth, data integrity, and a seamless customer experience.

The VP will oversee IT administration, applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and service delivery, while acting as a strategic partner to operations, supply chain, finance, sales, and executive leadership. This leader must bring strong experience in distribution and supply chain environments, with demonstrated expertise in WMS (Manhattan), Oracle ERP systems, and navigating organizations through post-ERP transition stabilization and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership

- Define and execute IT strategy aligned with company objectives.

- Advise executive leadership on technology investments and risks.

- Oversee IT governance, budgeting, and resource allocation.

- Develop a high-performing IT organization focused on accountability and service.

• IT Operations & Infrastructure

- Manage IT infrastructure, ensuring high system availability and cybersecurity.

- Lead service delivery and support across corporate and distribution centers.

- Implement key performance indicators for IT operations and user satisfaction.

• Enterprise Systems & Applications

- Oversee core enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle ERP, Manhattan WMS) and ensure integration.

- Standardize processes and enhance reporting capabilities in collaboration with business leaders.

• ERP & Post-Implementation Optimization

- Stabilize and optimize processes post-ERP implementation.

- Identify inefficiencies and lead change management efforts to ensure adoption.

• Distribution & Supply Chain Enablement

- Align technology solutions with warehouse operations and customer service.

- Collaborate to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.

• Cybersecurity & Risk Management

- Maintain cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance with regulations.

- Assess and mitigate technology-related risks.

• Vendor & Partner Management

- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

- Negotiate contracts and evaluate emerging technologies for improved performance.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.

- 10–15+ years of IT leadership, especially in distribution or foodservice.

- Experience with Manhattan WMS and Oracle ERP systems and their impact on operations.

- Proven track record in post-ERP transitions, process improvement, and user adoption.

- Strong IT infrastructure and cybersecurity understanding.

- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in food distribution or temperature-controlled supply chains.

- Familiarity with multi-site distribution and warehouse automation.

- Background in IT transformation and implementation initiatives.

- Knowledge in data analytics for decision-making.

- Acquainted with TMS and supply chain planning tools.
