QA Analyst

Test Managemen t (Jira / Zephyr Scale / Other Tools) Design, develop, and execute comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies covering user workflows, system integrations, and API functionalities Document test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test results with clarity, maintaining live documentation that adapts to product updates and sprint cycles Perform regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing to validate software quality and functionality Identify, categorize, and track defects, performing root cause analysis to facilitate timely resolution Apply QA best practices, including Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous testing principles, to enhance testing efficiency Contribute to sprint planning, story refinement, and retrospective discussions as the QA subject matter expert Define and verify acceptance criteria aligned with product requirements before release Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, compliance, and business analysts to ensure quality standards are met Leverage AI tools such as Cursor and Claude AI to accelerate test case creation, exploratory testing, and documentation Utilize Cursor to develop, review, and refactor automation scripts with AI assistance Use Claude AI for brainstorming test scenarios, analyzing requirements, and covering edge cases comprehensively Stay current with emerging AI testing tools and promote their integration into existing QA workflows API Testing Develop and execute API test cases focused on functionality, error handling, authentication, and performance Verify request/response payloads, status codes, headers, and adherence to data contracts Collaborate with backend teams to review API specifications early in the development lifecycle Data & ETL Testing Validate data pipelines by assessing accuracy, completeness, and integrity during Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and source-to-target Mapping Identify data anomalies, including nulls, duplicates, truncations, and transformation errors Coordinate with data engineers and BI teams to understand pipeline logic and translate it into test cases Maintain detailed ETL test plans and ensure traceability between data requirements and testing scope Core Qualifications & Requirements 3+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or Software Tester Proven expertise in end-to-end testing of web, mobile, or enterprise applications Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools, specifically Cursor and/or Claude AI Proficiency with Jira, Zephyr Scale, and comparable test management platforms Demonstrated API testing experience using tools like Postman or similar Experience with ETL data pipeline testing and SQL for data validation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments Experience handling compliance and audit-related testing requests Nice-to-Have Qualifications ISTQB or equivalent QA certification Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, and data warehouse environments Experience testing microservices architectures and event-driven systems Core Technical Skills Test management: Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Xray, qTest Automation scripting: Cursor, AI-assisted code review Cloud platforms: AWS, cloud-based testing environments CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions Data warehouses and microservices architecture #J-18808-Ljbffr The Phoenix Group
