Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines.Shift InformationShift Type: DaysShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekSchedule: 7 AM to 7 PM, every other weekend requiredHoliday Requirements: YesUnit DetailsUnit Type: Labor and Delivery (L&D)Number of Labor and Delivery Beds: 12Operating Room Suites for C-Sections: 2Triage Beds: 4Postpartum Beds: 16Births: Approximately 160-200 per monthKey ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery phases.Monitor patient health and communicate with the healthcare team regarding changes and concerns.Assist in delivering newborns and perform necessary interventions.Float to mother-baby unit as needed (rare occurrence).Collaborate with OB/Neonatologists and anesthesiologists, who are available on-site 24/7.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.Required Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)Advanced Fetal MonitoringBLS (Basic Life Support)NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)Experience reading EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) strips; no monitor techs available.Additional InformationModified self-scheduling is available.Unit-specific orientation provided to all new hires.Surgical techs are available to assist on the unit.Required to circulate and manage own C-sections.Dress code: Royal blue scrubs.Client Details State TX
