Manufacturing Engineer

• $85,000 - $105,000
• Worcester, MA
• Days | Monday - Friday

Our client is a leading precision manufacturing company specializing in the design and production of high-quality bearing components and assemblies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and modify bearing components and assemblies to meet customer specifications and manufacturability requirements.
• Develop engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Support the Sales team with application engineering, technical proposals, and customer design solutions.
• Develop manufacturing processes, tooling methodologies, work instructions, and engineering change documentation.
• Work closely with machining, assembly, press room, and toolmaking teams to resolve production and engineering issues.
• Design progressive and compound dies for metal stamped bearing components.
• Lead engineering projects, driving product improvements, cost reduction, and on-time project delivery.
• Participate in Kaizen events and implement Lean Manufacturing principles across engineering and production.
• Investigate new materials, manufacturing methods, and engineering standards to improve product performance.

Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
• Experience within mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, or product engineering.
• Strong knowledge of machining, metal stamping, assembly processes, and manufacturing methods.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen experience preferred.
