Labor and Delivery Nurse

Patient population includes,.s of childbearing years, pregnant 17 weeks gestation, laboring, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage (we try not to do these on the unit)), and triage issues. The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C/S). Common equipment used in labor and delivery includes fetal monitors, cerner and fetalink documentation.

BLS & ACLS Required

NRP - Required

AWHONN - Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring - Required

Current license to practice as a registered nurse in state/district - Required

L&D experience - Required: 3 years
