Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Emergency Room (ER) Nurse for a busy facility located in Rockford, Illinois. This position involves providing nursing care in a Level 2 trauma emergency department with 44 beds, serving a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients. The role is scheduled for day shifts, with every other weekend work and a holiday rotation.

Job Details:

• Location: Rockford, Illinois
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field, Illinois license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); at least 2 years of experience in a large, busy hospital emergency department with pediatric and psychiatric experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Electronic Critical Response Nurse (ECRN) certification
• Additional Information: Candidate must have at least 2 years of ER experience, be outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility, and be available for every other weekend and holiday rotations.
