Known for innovation, reliability, and customer-focused solutions, MRL delivers equipment "by stripers, for stripers"—helping professionals around the world achieve precision and productivity on every job.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble defect-free paint marking units, parts, and accessories according to engineering specifications, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).Assemble mechanical systems such as hydraulics, paint tanks, compressors, and striping mechanisms based on blueprints and schematics.Install and align components including pumps, valves, actuators, and control panels using hand and power tools.Fit and secure parts using bolts, screws, clips, or welding equipment to ensure structural integrity and operational safety.Connect mechanical and pneumatic systems to ensure proper function of paint dispensing and striping equipment.Integrate automated striping systems with truck chassis, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.Mount auxiliary systems such as heating units, air dryers, and material hoppers required for paint application.Collaborate with electrical and control teams to coordinate mechanical-electrical interface points.Inspect assembled components for defects, alignment, and compliance with safety and quality standards.Test mechanical systems to verify functionality before final delivery or further integration.Document assembly procedures and maintain records for traceability and quality assurance.What Does A Great Candidate Look Like?Mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to read and follow technical drawings, checklists, and BOMsStrong problem-solving skills and a commitment to qualityTeam-oriented mindset with flexibility to support other departmentsKnowledge of basic shop mathHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to pass a background check and drug screen (Note: We do not test for THC)Experience in assembly or manufacturing is a plus but not requiredBenefits of Employment at Mark Rite Lines, a subsidiary of Federal SignalIn addition to excellent career growth opportunities, Federal Signal Corporation offers a wide array of benefits including bonus potential, insurance (life, medical, dental, vision), paid holidays, paid vacation, employer sponsored Health Savings Account (HSA), and 401(k) with matching contributions.
