Silver Recycling has been operating for over 100 years servicing the unique by-product needs of manufacturers in the southwest United States and Mexico.Duties & Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine project specificationsWeld and solder components to fabricate or assemble metal structures according to project requirementsUse various tools and equipment, such as welding machines and torches, to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Inspect welded surfaces and structures for quality and accuracyFollow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards and codes during all welding operationsCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projectsMaintain welding equipment and tools in good working conditionRequirements:Proven experience as a Welder or similar roleProficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and welding codesStrong knowledge of different welding techniques, such as TIG and MMAAbility to operate various tools and equipment used in welding processesFamiliarity with ductwork fabrication and pipe threading is a plusExcellent attention to detail and ability to produce high quality weldsPhysical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks while being exposed to the elementsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a teamJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceExperience level: 1 year Shift: 8-hour shift Day shift Weekly day range:Monday to Friday Weekends as neededWork setting: Outdoor workAbility to commute/relocate: Santa Teresa, NM 88008: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: Welding 1 year (Required) License/Certification:Welding Certification (Preferred)Work Location: In person
