Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The nurse will provide patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit focusing on telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities:

Monitor patient vital signs and observe cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed by physicians.
Manage acute care procedures including EKGs, chest tube management, and device troubleshooting.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid RN license with current state certification.
Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience in a telemetry unit.
Demonstrate proficiency with EMR, specifically Meditech, CPN, or similar systems.
Have BLS and ACLS certification, with NIH experience preferred.
Maintain strong critical thinking, communication, and compassionate patient care skills.
