Overview Job scope: The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the delivery of services for babies ages 0-3 years old in the Early Childhood Intervention Program. Address the functional needs of a child related to the performance of self-help skills, adaptive behavior, play and sensory, motor and postural development. Provide services in the home or virtually using a parent-coach model. Main office is located in Tyler, but the position serves the surrounding counties: Smith, Henderson, Wood, Anderson, Cherokee, Rains, Van Zandt, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Panola, Upshur and Rusk. Operates under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist and reports to the ECI Program Assistant Director. Education/licensure Associates degree from an approved college or university in occupational therapy. Licensed in the State of Texas as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. Prefer a minimum of one-year experience in pediatric occupational therapy. Current valid driver's license in state of residence. Experience / Knowledge Experience in working with children with developmental delays is preferred, but not required. Physical requirements Reliable transportation Able to complete activities necessary to perform services including bending, lifting up to 44 pounds, crawling and kneeling. Must be able to tolerate excessive heat and cold. Must lift and transport equipment for transfer and repair. #J-18808-Ljbffr
