Work Environment
This position operates within a teen and young adult outpatient treatment center that utilizes cutting-edge, evidence-based practices in a community health clinic setting. Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at our facility, you will take on a variety of tasks designed to enhance client well-being and facilitate personal growth:
- Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead effectively structured group sessions that encourage sharing, support, and community building among clients.
- Individual Therapy Sessions: Deliver one-on-one counseling that is attuned to the client’s personal experiences, enabling them to identify challenges and develop coping strategies.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to establish tailored, actionable treatment goals that align with their unique aspirations and needs.
- Progress Monitoring: Consistently evaluate client progress using a variety of assessment tools and adjust treatment plans accordingly based on outcomes.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, participating in regular consultations and case discussions to ensure holistic and effective care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are navigating a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Current and valid Massachusetts license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
- Strong skills in offering therapeutic interventions and counseling strategies relevant to this age group.
Preferred Experience
Ideally, candidates should have at least two years of direct experience in mental health treatment, specifically with young adults. Experience in holistic approaches and evidence-based practices will be highly regarded, as will familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.
