Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Job Description Provides and/or assists in the provision of primary care services. Acts on written authorization to provide medical aspects of patient care which are agreed upon by the physicians assistant and the physician, then maintained in the practice setting. Follow protocols or other written authorization that will be defined to promote the exercise of professional judgment by the physicians assistant in accordance with his/her education and experience. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I. Qualifications A. Education : Graduate of an accredited college with a degree concentration in Physician Assistant or NP B. Personal job-related skills : Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills. Appropriate office skills/procedures involved in patient management. C. Licensure, registry or certification : National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant, Texas License. Current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications. D. Physical and mental requirements : Duties of the position require moderate periods of walking and standing. Pushing, pulling, reaching, and bending when involved in patient care. Lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional heavy lifting in supporting or moving patients that may suddenly become weak or helpless.
