Job Title: Full stack Developer- React
Responsibilities:Pennymac is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer who leverages AI-augmented development to build secure, scalable, and high-performance applications. This role is ideal for engineers who embrace AI tools as productivity enhancers and have a strong understanding of modern front-end frameworks and backend architecture.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications using React 19+, TypeScript, and modern backend frameworks or languages
• Architect scalable APIs and data-driven services with attention to performance and reliability
• Implement secure authentication flows, error handling, and production-grade monitoring
• Design and optimize database schemas and ensure efficient query performance
• Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to increase development velocity and code quality
• Contribute to internal developer tools, AI agent integrations, and LLM-powered features
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and DevOps teams in an agile environment
• Mentor engineers on AI-augmented coding workflows and modern development practice Qualifications:
• 3+ years of full-stack software development experience in production environments
• 2+ years of experience using TypeScript across front-end and back-end contexts
• Expert-level proficiency in ReactJS and modern front-end development patterns
• Strong foundation in backend engineering - Node.JS preferred, including:
o Scalable API design (REST or GraphQL)
o Database schema design and optimization
o Authentication and authorization best practices
o Concurrency and performance optimization
o Robust error handling and observability for production systems
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and microservice architectures
• Demonstrated use of AI coding tools in professional development settings
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Auth0 or federated SSO integrations
• Familiarity with LLM integration, RAG pipelines, or vector databases
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation)
• Exposure to AI safety or responsible AI development
