Industrial Custodian / Production Support Technician – Direct Hire

Pay: $24–$26 per hour
Employment Type: Direct Hire

About the Role

We’re seeking a dependable, hands-on Industrial Custodian / Production Support Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility.

This is not a traditional custodial position. In addition to general facility cleaning, you’ll work directly on the production floor supporting material handling, coolant and metal waste management, inventory, and other day-to-day manufacturing needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an industrial environment, operating a forklift, handling production materials, and performing physically active work throughout the shift.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production floor, break areas, and common spaces.
• Empty, move, and organize production barrels, containers, and other materials.
• Regularly clean coolant swarf tanks and maintain designated swarf storage areas.
• Properly label and organize production waste in accordance with facility procedures.
• Operate a forklift to move materials to auxiliary storage and shipping areas.
• Change filters on air-filtration units.
• Monitor and maintain coolant, Cintas consumables, and departmental supplies.
• Assist with the storage and retrieval of grinding wheels and other production materials.
• Perform limited exterior and grounds-maintenance duties.
• Identify and report major repair or maintenance needs to the Engineering Manager.
• Support production teams with additional facility and material-handling tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and waste-handling procedures.

This Position May Be a Good Fit If You

• Have experience in industrial cleaning, manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, or production support.
• Are comfortable working around machinery, coolant, metal debris, barrels, and industrial materials.
• Have current or previous forklift certification and can operate equipment safely.
• Can regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Take pride in keeping a production facility clean, safe, and organized.
• Are dependable, proactive, and willing to step in wherever support is needed.
• Can speak, read, and write effectively in English.
• Have strong problem-solving skills and look for ways to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
