This individual will have the opportunity to define and implement latest data center and server technologies, and to create proof of concepts and technical feature paper presentations to differentiate Supermicro product through online and at various industry events. This individual will also be the go-to person for product managers and system engineers to be the subject of matter expert in application benchmarks specifically in network, database, and virtualization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Define and develop application benchmarks based on enterprise computing requirements and generic server architectureExecute benchmark testing and build proof of concepts based on latest data center technologies and Supermicro server products such as the Supermicro SuperServersWork with product managers and system engineers to draft technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry event promotional activitiesProactively engage in learning and researching new technologies and products to propose new Proof of ConceptsWork with sales and customers to provide networking solution and technical knowledgeTechnical support with customer for trouble shootingQualifications:Bachelor or Master's degree in EE or CE with 8+ years system engineering experiences in server products is strongly desirableStrong knowledge in server trouble shooting is strongly desirableStrong knowledge in server architecture and OS concept, and knowledge in distributed computing a plusExperiences in configuring Windows Server, Ubuntu, Redhat Enterprise LinuxExperiences in scripting languages (PowerShell, Linux Shell) a plusExperiences in automation of server-level testing is a plusStrong knowledge with server hardware and architectures including PCI express, and OOB managementExperiences in technical writing and good communication skills is a mustSalary Range$135,000 - $160,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
