Nurse ManagerCanyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision of House Supervisors, RN's and MHTs. This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts. This position is responsible for assisting the DON/ADON in evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN/MHT staff required training. Also provides, on as-needed basis, patient nursing assessments. Experience in staff education and education concepts, practices and procedures and 24 hour shift staffing experience.Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing or possesses Compact State RN license.Additional Requirements: Successful completion Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required.
