Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent with a strong background in healthcare construction to oversee field operations for hospital, medical office, clinic, surgical center, and other healthcare-related projects. This individual will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all healthcare facility requirements and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee all on‑site construction activities from project startup through completion Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved Lead daily site meetings, safety meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and healthcare regulations Monitor quality control and conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets project standards Coordinate inspections, permits, and approvals with local authorities and healthcare stakeholders Identify and proactively resolve construction, scheduling, and site‑related issues Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation Work closely with Project Managers to manage budgets, change orders, procurement, and project forecasting Ensure jobsite safety standards are maintained and promote a strong safety culture Coordinate construction activities within occupied healthcare environments while minimizing disruption to patients, staff, and ongoing operations Manage Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) requirements and interim life‑safety measures when applicable Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects Healthcare construction experience required, including hospitals, medical office buildings, surgical centers, laboratories, or similar facilities Strong knowledge of healthcare construction standards, infection control procedures, and regulatory requirements Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules Experience managing multiple subcontractors and maintaining project schedules Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Proficient with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms OSHA 30 certification preferred Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed Preferred Experience Experience working in occupied healthcare facilities Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and healthcare compliance requirements Experience with renovations, additions, and ground‑up healthcare projects Knowledge of MEP systems and healthcare‑specific infrastructure requirements Leadership and team development Quality control and safety management Subcontractor coordination Conflict resolution and problem‑solving Budget awareness and cost control Client and stakeholder communication Attention to detail and organization What Success Looks Like Projects completed safely, on time, and within budget Strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams Consistent quality standards with minimal punch‑list items Effective coordination in active healthcare environments with minimal operational disruption Proactive leadership that drives accountability, communication, and project success #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
