Responsibilities The Echocardiographer performs all echocardiograms and Dopplers, ensuring successful readings. Assists with all other departmental testing as needed, following departmental protocols. The staff member demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development for all age groups, with special emphasis on middle and senior adults. The staff member applies these principles when selecting equipment, performing tests, and interacting with clients and their families. Qualifications Education: Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Experience: Must possess at least one year of experience in cardiology testing. Coursework: Must have completed echo courses in M‑Mode, 2‑D, and Doppler echocardiography. Certification: Must be CPR trained (Health Care Provider level) and hold ARDMS or CCI certification. Skills: Must have Epic experience and possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Teamwork: Must be flexible, exhibit personal integrity, and function effectively as part of a team. Additional requirements: Must possess typing skills; be able to perform EKGs, treadmill preparation, echocardiograms, Dopplers, and pediatric echo screening scans; and will be required to travel. Salary Information Minimum: USD $33.60 per hour. Maximum: USD $60.48 per hour. Compensation decisions are based on internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are placed within the lower to mid‑portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
