Help make the world a better place by assisting seniors who can no longer drive get to their appointments, events, and errands.
Examples of Duties
What Are We Looking For? Day in the life: Dickinson Hall is a dynamic community senior center primarily serving residents from the Lake Forest & Lake Bluff area.
- Drive Dickinson Hall's vehicle under the direction of the Transportation Coordinator
- Assist and deliver riders to destinations
- Drive 1 to 2 days a week
This is an excellent opportunity for retired individuals that are looking for something to occupy their time.
Role and Expectations:
- Drive older adults to and from medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other local errands
- Assist seniors in and out of the car when necessary
- Keep vehicle clean and full of gas
- This is a 1 or 2 day a week position, hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, weekdays
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Excellent driving record
- Friendly and patient personality is essential
