Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook/Line Cook to join MOSU Asian BBQ & Hot Pot’s culinary team. As Line Cook, you will be a part of a dedicated team delivering the highest standards of food quality, safety, production and presentation. Duties include prepping meat, seafood, and vegetables; using kitchen tools safely; following food safety standards; and preparing sauces, marinades, stocks, soups, and hot dishes. You’ll work from daily prep lists and recipes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be a part of a new and exciting team to deliver exceptional food and dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Completes opening and closing checklists.
Ensures the preparation station and the kitchen is clean, set up and stocked (ie. Fryers, char broilers, sauté burners, ovens, woks, rice cookers, steam table, refrigeration equipment, etc.).
Prepares menu ingredients by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces, marinades and stocks
Refers to Menu Binder for recipes, portion sizes & plating.
Reports to the Executive/Head Chef and follow instructions on the Daily Prep List.
Understands and complies with set portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
Ensures food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
Cleans prep areas and takes care of leftovers.
Stocks inventory and supplies.
Cooks and prepares menu items with the support of the kitchen team.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Passion and a love for bold, scratch-made food
Good communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
Ability to follow production standards and execute with excellence
Open availability (including but not limited to nights, weekends, holidays)
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift 30 pounds and to stand for 8 hours.
