REVENUE COLLECTION SUPERVISOR (CLASS CODE 0463)

Responsible administrative, supervisory and fiscal work assisting in directing an operating unit responsible for the collection of various City revenues; and related work as required. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Permanent status and two (2) years of full‑time experience relating to the collection of City taxes in one of the following classes: Auditor, Senior Auditor, or Principal Auditor. A letter from the Appointing Authority verifying the above experience must be submitted to the New Orleans Civil Service Department within two (2) weeks of application. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. Four (4) years of professional experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax systems work, tax collection, tax enforcement, or tax law. Possession of a current Certified Public Accountant certificate in Louisiana may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Experience must be within the last ten (10) years to receive credit on the rating of training and experience. Additional Requirements Applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date.
