Quality Assurance Analyst

Warehouse Anywhere Full-time | Exempt (salary) | Dallas, TX (onsite) or Denver, CO (hybrid) Role Summary Warehouse Anywhere is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to improve the reliability and usability of the internal software used by our Operations and Call Center teams. This role serves as the voice of the end user by testing new features and existing workflows, investigating edge cases, documenting defects, and validating fixes. The Quality Assurance Analyst will learn how internal teams use our tools in practice and translate that understanding into rigorous, repeatable testing that keeps the product grounded in operational reality. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, curiosity, clear written communication, and a process-oriented mindset. This position reports to the Director of Product and partners cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Operations, and Call Center stakeholders. Key Responsibilities End-User Workflow Testing Test internally facing operations software from the perspective of the employees who use it every day, across new features and existing functionality. Learn how Operations and Call Center teams use internal tools so testing reflects real workflows, business rules, and exceptions rather than specifications alone. Explore edge cases, unusual sequences, and non-standard scenarios to identify broken features, inconsistent behavior, and usability gaps before release. Confirm that system behavior, data fields, workflow steps, and on-screen presentation align with approved requirements and intended use. Test Planning & Execution Translate product requirements, acceptance criteria, and operational workflows into clear test scenarios, checklists, and repeatable test cases. Perform functional, exploratory, regression, and user acceptance testing for new releases, enhancements, and defect fixes. Maintain organized evidence of testing performed, results observed, open questions, and unresolved risks. Retest resolved defects and complete targeted regression testing to verify that fixes work as intended without creating new issues. Create clear, well-documented bug tickets that include the environment, steps to reproduce, expected result, actual result, business impact, and supporting evidence. Assess and communicate defect severity, frequency, and operational impact to support effective prioritization. Track defects through resolution and partner with Engineering and DevOps to clarify issues, answer follow-up questions, and validate completed fixes. Distinguish confirmed defects from training, configuration, data, or requirement questions and route findings to the appropriate owner. Release Readiness & Product Partnership Participate in product planning meetings, sprint activities, demonstrations, and standups as needed. Provide concise updates on testing progress, priority defects, dependencies, blockers, and release risk. Support regression and user acceptance testing ahead of releases and raise release-blocking concerns early. Share testing findings and operational insights with the Director of Product to support roadmap, prioritization, and workflow decisions. Partner with Product and Technology stakeholders to clarify acceptance criteria and confirm that completed work meets the intended business need. Operational Discovery & Continuous Improvement Observe how internal teams complete work in the platform and identify gaps between how tools are designed and how they are used. Identify recurring defect patterns, workflow bottlenecks, confusing experiences, and opportunities to strengthen product quality. Recommend practical improvements to test coverage, documentation, release processes, and internal workflows. Maintain reusable testing knowledge that improves consistency and reduces preventable rework over time. Collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Operations, and Call Center stakeholders while maintaining an objective end-user perspective. Ask focused questions when requirements or expected behavior are unclear and communicate risks or bad news early. Complete independent discovery and testing work while keeping partners informed of findings and status. What Success Looks Like New features and material changes are tested against clear acceptance criteria and realistic end-user workflows before release. Defects are documented clearly enough for technical partners to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve them efficiently. Fixes are validated thoroughly, and regression coverage becomes more consistent and reusable over time. Product and Technology partners receive early, concise visibility into testing status, unresolved issues, and release risk. Recurring gaps between product design and actual use are identified with evidence and translated into practical recommendations. Operations and Call Center teams experience more reliable workflows and fewer preventable software disruptions. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; additional coursework or training in business, technology, software testing, or a related area preferred. At least 2 years of experience in an office, operations, call center, customer support, administrative, or technology-enabled work environment. Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented approach to checking work consistently and thoroughly. Strong written communication and technical documentation skills, including the ability to explain an issue clearly and objectively. Comfort learning unfamiliar software, navigating new systems independently, and investigating workflows without step-by-step instructions. Ability to organize multiple tests or defects, maintain accurate status, and follow issues through resolution. Ability to collaborate with Product and technical teams while also completing independent discovery and testing work. Ability to work from the assigned Dallas or Denver office at least two days per week. Preferred Attributes Exposure to software testing, user acceptance testing, ticketing systems, bug-tracking tools, or product development workflows. Experience documenting procedures, quality checks, exceptions, or root causes in an operational environment. Familiarity with self-storage, rental processes, call center operations, logistics, SaaS, or another technology-enabled services environment. Interest in growing into broader test strategy, QA process ownership, or test automation over time. This role provides a foundation in product-side quality assurance. With demonstrated success, the Quality Assurance Analyst may progress into opportunities with increased responsibility in test strategy, QA process ownership, test automation, product operations, business analysis, or related Product and Technology functions. Compensation Structure Base salary: $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience. This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime. This compensation information does not include the value of benefits.
