Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Construction Law and General Litigation practice group in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The ideal candidate will be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar, possess strong academic credentials, and demonstrate exceptional research and writing skills. They should be capable of working independently and handling a diverse caseload. Duties Defend construction defect matters for developers, builders, subcontractors, and related parties. Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions when appropriate. Manage written discovery, meet and confer strategy, and case deadlines. Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and support trial preparation when needed. Coordinate with experts and manage expert discovery. Support mediations and settlement strategy, communicate clearly with clients and carriers. Requirements Active South Carolina Bar license. 1+ years of civil litigation experience. Strong legal writing, organization, and deadline management skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in South Carolina. Skills Exceptional research and writing abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and client management skills.
