Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning across the pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions with a focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team comprising physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive and effective care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to support therapeutic progress beyond the therapy environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care continuity.
• Maintain accurate documentation reflecting compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to keep abreast of current trends and best practices in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification has not yet been attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.
