As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM Tue: 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM Wed: 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM Thur: 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM Fri: 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, patient or visitor disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and verify credentials or authorization for persons entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies. Maintain required armed post equipment, complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel as needed. Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
