Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:

Seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse for a fast-paced surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring safety and comfort in a busy healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and interpret telemetry data to monitor cardiac activity.
• Administer medications and treatments following physicians' orders and facility protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate concerns as needed.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry or related med-surg experience in a large, teaching hospital.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; NIHSS required prior to start.
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
