Job Summary:
The Palms at Sebring is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in helping our residents regain independence and reach their full potential. Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and treatment sessions to improve residents' functional abilities, mobility, and cognitive skills
- Implement various therapeutic techniques, including exercises, activities, and modalities, to promote resident wellness and safety
- Maintain accurate records of treatment sessions, resident progress, and communicate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet residents' unique needs
Requirements:
- Current COTA certification or eligibility to take the certification exam
- Completion of an occupational therapy assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
- Minimum 0 years of experience as a COTA (new graduates welcome to apply!)
- Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents with minimal assistance
