Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Bloomington, IN | Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Nights | 4×12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
• Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; December 25 time-off requests cannot be accommodated

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license application has been submitted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 2–3 years of Emergency Room experience
• Nursing degree from a program accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation
• SSN and date of birth required at time of submittal
• Indiana residents are not accepted for this position — local travelers are not eligible for ER roles

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Comfort with floating to sister or affiliate facilities as needed
• Experience managing high-acuity and diverse patient populations in an emergency environment
