Commercial Lending Portfolio Manager Team Lead - Northwest Crossing Houston, TX

We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager Team Lead to join our Commercial Banking team in Northwest Crossing Houston, TX. Essential Functions Responsible for leading and coaching a team of portfolio managers in various tasks including credit underwriting, risk assessment and portfolio monitoring and maintenance. Responsible for spreading and analyzing financial statements, addressing industry risks, collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis, monitoring credit performance, and loan presentations. Responsible for relationship portfolio management, conducting relationship reviews and recommends products and services that meet clients financial needs. Responsible for leading members of a team, coaching a team to develop new relationships, grow existing relationships through cross selling while providing a high level of client satisfaction. Other duties as assigned. Requires a bachelor's degree in banking, finance or a related field and 8+ years commercial lending, credit analysis, underwriting or other directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. Expert knowledge of commercial banking, credit analysis, underwriting, lending, loan processing and closing processes. Ability to evaluate commercial banking loans, client relationships, and cross sell bank products. Requires exceptional risk assessment and leadership ability. Expert experience in applicant interviewing. Excellent problem resolution and judgment skills. Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to train, lead and mentor a team of portfolio managers. Working knowledge of a software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets. Excellent supervisory or leadership skills required.
