Job Overview
We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory management and spare parts standardization efforts across renewable energy operations. This person will be responsible for collecting and validating spare parts data, maintaining inventory records in SAP, and helping develop standardized inventory processes and warehouse layouts that can be implemented across existing and future power plant sites.
Responsibilities
- Collect and validate spare parts information, including manufacturer part numbers and supplier data
- Upload and maintain inventory data in SAP
- Support inventory control and warehouse optimization efforts
- Assist in developing standardized inventory layout guidelines for power plants
- Ensure compliance with company processes and procedures
- Document inventory processes and recommendations
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and site teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of inventory control, warehouse management, or materials management experience
- Strong SAP experience
- Experience managing inventory data, spare parts, and warehouse operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Renewable energy industry experience (solar, wind, power generation, utilities, etc.)
- Experience creating or improving inventory management processes
- Understanding of change management principles
- Experience standardizing warehouse layouts or inventory programs across multiple sites
- Background in continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting supply chain or operations teams
