Medical Equipment Delivery Technician

The Medical Equipment Delivery Technician is responsible for the safe transportation, delivery, installation, and setup of medical equipment at healthcare facilities. This role includes handling mobile imaging equipment, Rb?82 Infusion Systems, and associated computer workstations. The position directly supports patient care by ensuring equipment is delivered, installed, and operational according to regulatory and safety standards at hospitals, clinics, physician offices, and other healthcare institutions.

Key responsibilities include safely operating company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies, performing pre? and post?trip vehicle and equipment inspections, loading, securing, transporting, and unloading equipment using proper handling and safety procedures, installing and setting up equipment onsite, complying with DOT, NRC, OSHA, and HAZMAT regulations, completing and maintaining accurate delivery documentation and required records in a timely manner, maintaining cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, hub locations, and customer facilities, performing routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, maintaining facility security and following after?hours access protocols when applicable, immediately reporting equipment, vehicle, or facility issues or damage to leadership, communicating clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and management, providing courteous, empathetic customer service to support customer satisfaction, working flexible schedules, including long routes, overnight travel, and schedule changes, maintaining a clean driving record and adherence to company safety standards, working independently and assisting with training or instructing coworkers as needed.

Required qualifications include a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, ability to work independently and manage changing schedules, willingness to drive long distances, work overnight hours, and travel 14 nights per week, strong communication and customer service skills, ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform moderate physical labor, basic computer setup and troubleshooting skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Teams experience preferred, strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of Class II driving experience, HAZMAT training related to radioactive materials, experience with medical equipment transport, loading, or maintenance.

Working conditions include manual dexterity, hand?eye coordination, and fine motor skills, moderate physical exertion, including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching, equipment may weigh up to 1,000 lbs. (air?ride suspension used for transport assistance), frequent regional or interstate travel with overnight stays, driving in varied conditions, including night, inclement weather, congested areas, and tight spaces, work performed in medical environments with strict regulatory compliance requirements.
