The Staff Accountant will gain hands-on exposure to general ledger accounting, revenue recognition, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

• Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end close activities
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger activity to ensure financial accuracy
• Apply GAAP-compliant revenue recognition principles in preparing financial statements and reports
• Review and code corporate credit card transactions while ensuring timely and accurate entry into the general ledger
• Process and review employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies
• Assist with audit preparation, internal reviews, and financial reporting support
• Analyze financial data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls
• Support the Controller with special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
