RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Christiana Hospital
Night Shift | 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week

Unit Highlights

• 21–30 bed Labor & Delivery unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:3 based on patient acuity
• Cerner charting system
• Experience with:
  • High-risk OB patients
  • Antenatal, postpartum, and OB triage care
  • Epidural management
  • Pitocin titration
  • Magnesium sulfate administration
  • Insulin drips
  • Cesarean deliveries

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• No call requirement
• Floating within unit acuity areas including:
  • Antenatal
  • High Risk OB
  • OB Triage
  • Postpartum

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Active Delaware RN License or Compact RN License required
• High-acuity obstetric experience preferred
• All certifications with expiration dates must be submitted with application
