Job Title: RRT
Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate : $62 - $67/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a RRT for a temporary assignment in Carbondale, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a RRT:
• Evaluate patient outcomes and make changes in plan of care within the multidisciplinary team
• Provide explanation and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons, ensuring understanding of respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge planning
• Accept reassignment to other units when necessary
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students and serve as a role model for clinical practice
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care
• Provide respiratory care as ordered by physician while maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff
• Work every other weekend with on-call requirements averaging 3 calls per schedule, variable based on department need
• Maintain valid Illinois state license
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Hold RRT certification
• Maintain NRP-MHC certification
• Hold an Associate's degree or higher in a related field
