Department: UCHA Eye Surgery Center

Work Schedule: Full Time, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days . This position is 4 days a week, No Nights, No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays!

Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary :
Demonstrates skills needed to perform as a proficient certified surgical technologist.

Responsibilities :

• Independently scrub ophthalmic surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and prepare instruments and supplies.
• Maintain patient safety through accurate counts, medication safety, and sharp safety.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and service specialists to optimize surgical workflows.
• Serve as a mentor and preceptor for other surgical technologists.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (or military equivalent)
• Colorado DORA Surgical Technologist Registration
• Current CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
