Role Overview The Senior Finance Manager leads the APAC finance function, taking day-to-day ownership of financial reporting, forecasting, financial control, and compliance across the region's entities, operating with a high degree of autonomy under the oversight of the Manager. The role will be responsible for the integrity of the numbers across multiple operating entities in Singapore and Indonesia, spanning multiple currencies and time zones.

The role owns the month-end close, management reporting, forecasting, statutory and tax compliance, and audit coordination, preparing and coordinating these for final review and sign-off by the Manager. It combines hands-on delivery with leadership. The Senior Finance Manager manages a small regional finance team (currently one Accounts Assistant based in Indonesia) and is expected to build financial discipline, strengthen controls, and act as the key finance partner to Client Services and operational teams across the region. The role requires strong technical accounting judgement, the confidence to run the function independently, and the maturity to know what to escalate. It suits someone who wants genuine ownership of a regional finance function with the backing of group finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Leadership & Team Management

• Lead the day-to-day running of the APAC finance function across all regional entities, under the oversight of the Manager.
• Manage, develop, and support the regional finance team (currently one Accounts Assistant based in Indonesia), setting priorities and reviewing work.
• Build a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance team.
• Act as the primary in-region finance point of contact for operational and Client Services teams.
• Support the future growth of the finance team as the business scales, including scoping and, jointly with the Manager, hiring additional roles when needed.
• Provide the Manager with regular updates on overall financial performance and proactively escalate any material finance issues.

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Own the month-end close end-to-end across all APAC entities - preparing the core Singapore numbers and reviewing the work of the Indonesia-based assistant, to a 3–5 working day timetable. We are a performance-driven content leader.
• Take full responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the management accounts, including revenue recognition, accruals, and cut-off in line with company policy.
• Guarantee balance sheet integrity across entities, with every position understood, reconciled, and well supported.
• Own the consolidated management reporting pack, translating results into clear commentary and commercial insight.
• Prepare the monthly management meeting decks, the client-focused External Management Meeting (EMM) and the internally focused Internal Management Meeting (IMM), updating the financials and commentary for review by the Manager.

Forecasting, Budgeting & Commercial Finance

• Own the 4MF (4-Month Revenue Forecast) and lead the weekly forecast calls with Client Services, ensuring revenue, phasing, and cash flow are robust and clearly understood.
• Ensure forecast revenue is properly underpinned by signed SOWs, approved estimates, and client purchase orders, in the correct currency.
• Co-ordinate the twice-yearly budget process across the APAC entities, working under the Manager's oversight ahead of presentation to senior management.
• Lead monthly variance analysis, explaining the drivers and driving corrective action with operational teams.
• Own profitability analysis, freelance and project cost control, and Paprika cost rates, protecting margin across the business.

Statutory, Tax & Audit

• Own tax and statutory compliance across Singapore and Indonesia, managing the external tax agents, auditors, and company secretary (final sign-off with the Manager):
• Singapore - GST, IRAS corporate tax (ECI, Form C / C-S), and ACRA / statutory filings.
• Indonesia - in-house monthly compliance (VAT / PPN, withholding taxes / PPh, SPT filings) and local statutory requirements.
• Own the annual audit end-to-end, keeping records audit-ready year-round and resolving queries directly.

Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital

• Own rolling cash flow forecasting across entities and flag liquidity or working-capital risks early.
• Manage banking relationships and FX in a multi-currency environment.
• Own intercompany settlements and drive debtor collections with operational teams.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the senior finance partner to Client Services and operational teams, translating the numbers into commercial insight.
• Constructively challenge teams on project performance, budgets, and profitability.

Systems, Controls & Process Improvement

• Strengthen the control environment and own the region's financial models, dashboards, and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in month-end, forecasting, and reporting as owner and key user of the Paprika system.

Governance & Escalation

• Run the function with day-to-day autonomy within a clear governance framework: final sign-off on the monthly accounts and payment / banking authorisation sit with the Manager, and budget and hiring decisions are made jointly.
• Provide the Manager with monthly performance updates and escalate any material finance issues promptly.

Skills & Experience

• CPA (Philippines) required or strongly preferred; ACCA, CIMA, CGMA, or equivalent qualification an advantage.
• 8+ years' experience in accounting and finance - including financial reporting, control, and forecasting - with experience running or leading a finance function or team.
• Previous experience in a marketing, digital, media, or creative agency environment is preferable, with exposure to project-based revenue, client billing cycles, and project profitability reporting.
• Proven people-management experience, including managing team members remotely across locations and time zones.
• Experience owning tax and statutory compliance across more than one jurisdiction; Regional experience a strong advantage.
• Strong track record in multi-currency, multi-entity environments, with advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• The confidence and judgement to run a finance function with limited day-to-day supervision, and to know what to escalate.
• A clear communicator, able to present financial information to non-finance and senior stakeholders; experience with the Paprika system advantageous.
• Complete written and verbal fluency in English is essential.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Within the first 3–6 months, the successful candidate will:

• Run the APAC finance function smoothly and largely independently, surfacing and escalating issues appropriately.
• Deliver a consistent 3–5 day close and accurate, insightful monthly reporting across all entities.
• Own a reliable 4MF aligned with client estimates and billing schedules and lead the weekly calls.
• Keep balance sheets clean and reconciled, and tax and statutory compliance across Singapore and Indonesia accurate and timely.
• Improve visibility of freelance and project costs to protect margin.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting, and month-end efficiency.
