MRI Technologist

Role Overview Perform complex MRI procedures using high field strength magnets, ensuring patient safety and optimal imaging quality. Assist radiologists with protocoling, administering contrast media, and evaluating scans. Coordinate patient scheduling, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper use of imaging systems. Provide training and mentorship to new technologists, students, and medical staff. Contribute to protocol development, research projects, and departmental advancements. Responsibilities Screen patients for MRI safety and position them securely. Operate MRI equipment, manage patient flow across multiple sites, and maintain electronic health records. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures. Utilize the Image Archival System and perform routine duties related to imaging. Participate in career development programs within imaging services. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited program or hold relevant certification/registry (e.g., ARRT, ARMRIT, CNMT, ARDMS). Experience levels vary from entry (certification within 18 months) to advanced (4+ years in specialty). Certification in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, or MRI required; BLS certification mandatory.
